Vicky: Hello, everyone! My name is Vicky, and I am Bondly’s general manager of Asia Expansion.
I joined Bondly in January this year. Before joining Bondly, I was a graduate student in international trade. My undergraduate degree was in brand management. One of Bondly’s co-founders invited me to join their company to help them expand in Asia. Bondly is an overseas project, so they need overseas Chinese to help them do market expansion. This is how I joined Bondly.
Binance Ying Ge: Before you joined this team, did you come into contact with blockchain?
Vicky: No, I joined in January. In the first two months, I was very crazy about learning the blockchain. From the Bitcoin white paper, I first understood the core concept of the blockchain, and I particularly like its decentralization. Just in time for the bull market, the learning process was quite enjoyable for me. I followed my friends to mine, and then went to the NFT market to buy cards, to feel the decentralized finance brought by blockchain technology, innovation brought by NFT, etc. this is my entire blockchain journey.

Binance Ying Ge: would you please talk about the Bondly team, such as the time and background of its establishment. You can tell everyone about the current situation of the team.
Vicky: I can tell the story of Bondly’s two co-founders. First of all, our CEO Brandon, he is a New Yorker. The other Co-founder is Harry. He is a Chinese who immigrated to Canada. They met in the blockchain community because both of them were relatively active volunteers in the blockchain community.
They two got to know each other through the community, but it didn’t take long for the cold winter of the bear market to come after they entered the circle. They decided to make an acquisition of some digital assets. For example, they bought some Instagram accounts and YouTube accounts, and then opened a media company. In this process, they discovered that digital assets will have fraud problems in the transaction process. How can you ensure that you give money to others, then others give you Instagram? In fact, digital assets lack a secure trading platform.
They first learned about NFT from CryptoKitties. Later, they discovered that NFT has additional properties, and through smart contracts, people can achieve trust transactions with others. At this time, they found that there was a problem in the market. There was no good trading platform for digital assets, and there was no good trading model. This is why they wanted to use NFT to turn digital assets transaction trustable.
When our company was first established, we created an original animation IP of our original ecology. This animation IP is also a creation by the community members at the beginning. We have a shared template for everyone to use. I made a description of similar styles and characteristics for my favorite characters, and made all of them on one board, and we helped the community to issue a set of cards of an animated IP character created by the community itself.
this set of cards is not only an NFT card. In the future, the IP images of the characters in this NFT will become the characters in the animation. At the same time, we will finally launch the game. If you collect this card, you can also participate in the game.
With the introduction of our NFT animation characters, we have a long-term change in the entire road map. Because the company was founded in November, there was not much popularity for NFT at that time. Until January and February this year, there was a big wave of NFT craze, so they issued such a set of NFT cards before February.
But at the same time, they want to solve a transaction problem of digital asset in the long run. This is our first product, BondSwap.
BondSwap, we all have a card and want to do OTC transactions, we can exchange cards with cards through BondSwap. This question inspired the experience of the community and the previous two founders. For example, when we issued a card and then sent the players in the community to exchange cards, how can we make a trustworthy trade without knowing each other? this is the first problem we solved.
At the same time, this product can not only support NFT and NFT OTC, but it can also support token to token OTC, which is a social card exchange. When a player creates this card to exchange applications with another card, a link will be generated. This link can be forwarded to the community, such as WeChat and Telegram, so that people in the community can exchange cards with him. This is the first product.
We also have a sub-product called PolkaPet, which is a pet IP image that helps the ecological project on Polkadot. These cards are also created by the CEO of Gamee. He is the VP of the first version Pokémon card. He has worked in the Pokémon Company for 16 years, and later joined our team to help us plan the Polka Pets. The design, planning and subsequent games will be done by the previous Pokémon planners.
After we finished this set of cards, we started to make our first innovative attempt. A KOL named PelleK who sang anime songs with Youtube in North America helped us sing a theme song of our own original animation. He has four million fans on his own YouTube, and he also sings on Spotify.
This will encounter a problem. The platform fee is extremly expensive, millions of reading or listening, but he can only get a small part of the money, and there is no deep interaction with the fans. So when we asked him to sing the song, we wanted to use him to do an experiment to help PelleK publish the NFT of an album of his songs. In this form, we think that the NFT card is just a card. It is difficult to capture value, and when it has special rights and interests, it has its value.
So the first set of cards we issued is a music card of PelleK.it is not just a card, it also allows cardholders to enter the Discord channel created by PelleK. You could not directly interact with your KOL in the past, But through the display of NFT rights and interests, you can interact with your favorite KOL on Discord. He actually slowly created his own community.
After that, we also found a KOL called Logan Paul, who is more famous abroad but not well-known in China. We helped him to make his first NFT. He bought the first version card of the Pokémon for auction. Everyone who bought this card would get a piece of his NFT.
At the same time, we also sold a lot of his NFT, and we made a lottery draw. We drew three people who bought this NFT to the scene and flew to join his live broadcast room in the United States. In the Youtube live broadcast room, they opened this card box together with him. this is our second attempt, and also an attempt with KOL. Later, we will give cardholders various special rights.
Later on, we carried out a lot of music expansion. We did an NFT release with a North American rapper. We will soon have Lewis Capaldi (Lewis Capaldi) NTF this week. With these NFTs, we have done a lot of empowerment, so that fans can interact with his favorite musicians and stars to have digital experience interaction.
Like the cards in NBA Top Shot, you can’t say that you have special rights when you buy them. You just collect the cards. What Bondly wants to do is to allow cardholders to have a complete digital experience of the NFT card, not only a collection card, but also to help such very good artists, musicians and celebrities in the form of NFT cards, go beyond the centralized platform, and then find a new energy way.
In addition to expanding on the music track, we are also expanding on the art and sports track. Our company is very multi-disciplinary and also a rich company. We cooperate with Global photo, a photography company. In addition to Globe photo, we cooperate with other photography companies. In sports, we will cooperate with LIGA MX, a football team, and then we will slowly launch their NFT.
In the long run, the product Bondly most wants to make is a Beta version of the product which will be launched in May and June. BondProtect is an NFT commercial platform on which ordinary artists and individual artists can use this platform to create their own NFT artwork.
In addition, there are not too many people in the B2B market. We do, and we also make NFT cards with celebrities. We are equivalent to helping him open an app store. During this purchase process, the fan buying experience is very smooth. They can purchase this NFT directly with a credit card and Paypal. They only need to fill in the email, and the email will automatically be the Ethereum wallet address, and I will drop its NFT into his wallet.

Binance Ying Ge: you have expressed the development status, What plans are there in the future?
Vicky: Actually, in addition to what I just mentioned, we also have an innovation we started last month, using NFT to help a new project area make their Launchpad. In the past, everyone needed to make a whitelist to get IDO quota, and if you get the quota, you will get its token.
Bondly make an NFT card, and then this card gives you IDO rights. For example, we had a NFT Launchpad with Raze Network before, and we made a card for it. Our Bondly community and people who want to buy Raze Network and get their whitelist at IDO prices will participate in this Launchpad. When they get the card, there will be three airdrops. In fact, the card is equivalent to the price of your IDO.
We are concerned about a phenomenon that the card will double in the market just after being purchased. You can treat it as a price discovery for their token in advance. Because the market price of NFT cards is also equivalent to the price of IDO in their minds, Generally, players who buy this Launchpad card will choose whether to hold it and wait for IDO token airdrops, or sell it on the second-hand market, so that they can also make a profit during the resale process.
At the same time, I think the biggest innovation of using NFT to make Launchpad is that it allows investors to transfer their IDO rights and interests. Now it is divided into three airdrops. The design of our card is based on the image of anime characters. It is now an IDO rights card , and it will still be a game card in the future. We use various modes to empower the card, so that there are stories behind the card and the rights to add value to it.

Binance Ying Ge: We just introduced the project. Today’s theme is still around NFT, so would you please introduce the concept of NFT in your mind? In addition to the current gameplay, what else be added in the future?
Vicky: I actually have two gameplays that are particularly optimistic about the future. One is NFT lending and the other is NFT signature. I have seen new projects expand on the market for these two.
Why do I think NFT lending is so interesting? You can imagine that if you have participated in the NBA Top Shot, everyone should know that its bar will get higher and higher. You need a legendary card before you can draw the card behind it and participate in grabbing the quota of the card pack.
Our Launchpad is the same. You need to hold an animation BCCG card to grab the whitelist. In this process, you will find that borrowing is necessary.
For example, I am an NBA legendary card holder, and then I am a star that I particularly like. I definitely want to hold it myself instead of selling it. But how can I increase my wealth while holding it? That is equivalent to lending this card to others and letting others participate in the lottery. I also use this card for wealth while holding the card, so I think NFT lending should be particularly interesting in the future.
I have also seen a lot of virtual exhibition platforms about Metaverse, like Decentraland, etc. They all do virtual curation, you can hang NFT or make clothes in NFT, if more and more people go to Metaverse in the future in order to build their own homes to hold events, they actually need to borrow some NFTs to decorate the room. I personally like the attributes of NFT play, so I pay special attention to the game track and interactive social track. This is a good place for me to think of NFT lending in the future.
Another thing I think is good is that you can sign on NFT. There is one called Alchemy NFT (AlchemyNFT). One of their great innovations is that it allows your NFT to ask a celebrity or Twitter for a signature, and you can initiate a signature fee with him. If you sign this name for me, how much ETH or BTC or other currency can I pay you, this person will authorize if he agrees, and then your NFT will be digitally stamped, which is equivalent to him using Twitter to give you a signed name.
This is to make your original collection of cards more meaningful. For example, if we helped such celebrities to promote them before, if these collectors can ask the celebrities to use their Twitter to sign and time stamp. There is another record on this card. This card is very unique.
And by signing this way, you actually add unlimited value to the card, because you can apply for signing by your own singer, you can also sign your own name, you can also find a friend to sign, or you can find other celebrities. , As long as they are willing to accept your application, then NFT will be very playable in the future.
As I imagined, what I feel this year is particularly deep because I am overseas, so I have very little time to go out of home, so I spend most of my time on the Internet, communicating with everyone in clubhouse on the Internet, I feel realistic world is a bit isolated from reality. I can make new creations in the game even in the virtual world and behind the computer screen.
And if you pay attention to children, you will notice that children write programs to learn codes and learn to create in games. For creative games like Roblox, there are many overseas elementary schools that have already started such creations. This Roblox design also includes them. An attribute of tokens and economics and transactions. You will find that children in the future are very easy to accept for them to create things in a Metaverse and use digital currency.
If the future belongs to the teenager, I think the Metaverse track is particularly important. The most important part of the Metaverse is actually NFT. NFT needs a platform for its precipitation, which requires Metaverse, a field that can be interactive and social to carry its value. I think in the future more and more people will enter the virtual world and make money through the virtual world.
I can imagine that with the advancement of AI technology, many people and even the basic-level people will gradually lose their labor force and will gradually be replaced by robots and AI. If it is said that it is particularly difficult for them to find a job in reality, they may need Make money in another way, and I think the future as a way for them to make money is to create in Metaverse, and then play to earn in games to make money.
I think these three tracks in the NFT are very promising in the future, such as Loan, signature and Metaverse.
Binance Ying Ge: You are the first to say that loan does not feel too far away, but the signature seems to be a little bit far, involving celebrities and so on.
Vicky: Actually, we also discussed a cooperation with the signature project some time ago, and they will launch it in June. One thing written by this team is called Token script. Their team’s innovation is very interesting. They used to make NFT a master key. For example, tickets for a concert can be passed through the Token script on the NFT. It has technical content. I don’t really understand it. I am also in the process of learning.
The machine can directly identify your NFT. This innovation ensures your identity. At the same time, your NFT card is not only a ticket to a concert, but also has a collection significance. The biggest innovation of NFT in art and traditional art is digitization, which can be used for dynamic and music, and various things can be added.
In the future, if Event tickets are all in the form of NFT, it will no longer be a piece of paper. It has a memorial and collection value. It is digital and a special ticket in form, plus its Token script. This can be achieved in the future. I am particularly optimistic about this project because I think it can be connected to the arrival of the Internet of Things, so this project is just my personal favorite, I will introduce it to everyone.

Binance Ying Ge: It’s said that you are an NFT and game expert, and have formed a professional team, right?
Vicky: I did not form a professional team. It’s not true. When I was 14 or 15 years old, I was once a member of a CF team. I have always been looking forward to the combination of the game and NFT. You can imagine that there will be many mini games in this Metaverse in the future. Atari, which is a game company with a long history in the United States, will also build Metaverse in the future. In its virtual world, there will be many mini games and various games such as horse racing.
NFT can also realize cross-chain assets. NFT can take your equipment or pets in this game to another game, which I think is very cool. Games of today are centralized. Your equipment can only be used on this platform, but you can’t bring it to other games. Through the cross-chain feature of blockchain technology, you can not only have the same equipment it in different games, but also have it in different chains and different ecosystems.

Binance Ying Ge: The current project is on BSC. You can briefly talk about your understanding of BSC and comment the project on BSC.
Vicky：In fact, I think BSC is a very good ecology. It is a place suitable for rookies and retail investors. Our project was originally built on Ethereum. When players buy or sell cards on Ethereum, the gas fee is very expensive. The community has been calling us to go to BSC, and we have done so.
Now Bondly token can be staked on Pancake to mine Pancake, and Pancake can also be used to mine Bondly. When I just joined our company, I only knew Ethereum. As a rookie, I just played casually. I don’t have a concept of gas because I am not very good at numbers.
When I went to BSC, I felt that it was really cheap. There are a lot of high-quality DeFi projects, such as Pancake and Venus. In general, I think its DeFi ecosystem is doing quite well.
Finally, our team is also working on the NFT mall. It should be launched on the BSC chain in May or June. It will be an NFT mall on the BSC chain, allowing everyone to make and trade their own NFTs.

Binance Ying Ge: Have you never joined other blockchain teams before joining this team?
Vicky: In fact, I followed Bondly for a while and joined many meetings at the beginning. The meeting was about a project in Polkadot Eco, and we made Polka Pets for them. So Polka Pets is also a sub-project of Bondly that I am very optimistic about. Bondly’s own works, our BCCG, has been developing as well, and the game is also being made. I like it very much.
What is the application of Bondly token? You can use Bondly token to buy our card, and participate in Launchpad. You need to have a minimum amount to participate in the lottery. Currently, 10K Bondly is required to participate in the Launchpad. We are writing the second edition of the white paper. We hope to be more decentralized in the second part, so the token can be used for voting in the future.
This reflects our thoughts in the white paper. In addition to the sale of services and cards, we also hope that there will be more decentralized voting. We plan to build an NFT art platform, where the community can decide whether to make an NFT and get the Bondly token reward. You see that the development of VR and AR is also very rapid. The 2021 financial report mentioned several particularly promising sectors, including Metaverse, AR, VR, and Bitcoin.
